A Name Without Power, A Faith Without Fruit (Sermon)

“They profess to know God, to recognize and be acquainted with Him, but by their actions they deny and disown Him. They are detestable and disobedient and worthless for good work of any kind.”

We Have Made The Name Of Jesus A Decoration Instead Of A Dedication

There is a painful truth we have to face. The name of Jesus has become a decoration rather than a dedication. We wear His name but we do not bear His cross. We talk about Him, but we refuse to walk with Him.

We tattoo scriptures but do not obey them.We post verses but do not apply them.We wear crosses but will not carry our own.We say God First but put Him last in every decision that matters.

We have placed His name on our pictures and profiles, yet there is barely any fruit in our lives. Jesus never said the world would know us by our Christian shirts or our captions. He said they would know us by our fruit.

“You will know them by their fruits. Every good tree bears good fruit.”

Matthew 7:16 to 17 NKJV

So the question becomes simple.

Where is the fruit?

A Christianity That Talks But Has No Power

We live in a generation that loves to appear Christian but does not want to be transformed. We preach love, mercy, and grace, but we do not preach repentance, sacrifice, or holiness. We prefer comfortable messages over convicting ones.

Jesus preached something very different.

“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Matthew 4:17 NKJV

“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.”

Luke 9:23 NKJV

“Go and sin no more.”

John 8:11 NKJV

“For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.”

1 Corinthians 4:20 NKJV

So again we must ask.

Where is the power in the church today?

A Church With No Evidence

We tell our children about the God who parted seas, healed the blind, and raised the dead. But when they look at us for proof, they see nothing. We talk about miracles, but we do not fast. We do not pray. We do not consecrate ourselves. We do not walk in the fear of God.

And because they see nothing real in us, they start looking for power in the hands of the enemy. Crystals. Sage. Witchcraft. Manifestation. Energy.

We are losing a generation not because God has lost power, but because the church has lost consecration.

We are the reason they mock God.

The World Mocks Jesus Because We Have Made Him Easy To Mock

When we claim His name but do not live His Word, we give the world ammunition. Jesus said:

“You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt loses its flavor, it is good for nothing.”

Matthew 5:13 NKJV

We have lost our saltiness.

We have lost our reverence.

We have lost our fear of God.

The world is not rejecting Jesus. They are rejecting the powerless version of Him that we have shown them.

Where Are The True Believers

Jesus said that real believers would walk in real power.

“These signs will follow those who believe. In My name they will cast out demons. They will speak with new tongues. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Mark 16:17 - 18 NKJV

Where are the signs today?

Where is the evidence?

God has not changed.

We have.

We have chosen comfort over consecration.

Entertainment over intercession.

Compromise over conviction.

And we sit confused when nothing in our lives shifts.

A Call To Repentance

This is not condemnation. This is mercy. God is calling His people back to holiness, back to reverence, back to real power.

It is time to repent. It is time to fast. It is time to pray. It is time to walk in obedience.

The world is watching.

Our children are watching.

Most importantly, God is watching.

“Awake, you who sleep. Arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”

Ephesians 5:14 NKJV

The time for games is over.

The time for compromise is over.

It is time to be the church again.

If you have felt your fire fading. If your faith has become something you talk about instead of liveIf you have worn His name without walking in His power

Then today is your wake up call.

Return to Him, Repent, Seek Him again.

The world does not need another Christian title.

The world needs believers with fruit and believers with power.
